Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The contribution has not been previously published, nor is under review by any other journal (unless an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format and is between 8,000 and 10,000 words in length. Includes tables (charts), figures (graphs, photographs, images, etc.), footnotes and bibliographical references (in alphabetical order).
- All contributions are following the standards established by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), fourth edition in Spanish and seventh in English. Papers that are not edited in APA format will not be accepted. This will be the reason for returning the document for its adjustment.
- The text of the document is justified and written in Times New Roman font size 12 with double spacing. All illustrations, figures and tables have been included in the correct place and not at the end of the document.
- The sheet is letter size (21.59 by 27.94 cm. or 8 ½” by 11”) and maintains the normal margins predefined by the word processor. All pages are numbered (bottom and right with Arabic numerals) and must not have annotations or designs anywhere on the page (headings, members, etcetera)
- The document contains a main title (maximum 16 words and in bold), followed by its translation into Spanish, English or Portuguese (as the case may be). All of these data must be centered.
- The abstract of the text does not exceed 150 words and specifically describes and includes the justification of the topic, its objectives, the characteristics of the context, the methodology used, and the most outstanding results/conclusions.
- The text meets the requirements indicated in the Guidelines for Authors, which can be found at Author Guidelines

Editorial Issues is a section for the publication of research and popularization articles related to scientific publishing, academic writing and all related topics.

Copyright: When authors apply for an article to be published in Culturales, they accept the established rules and guidelines of the editorial process and automatically cede the patrimonial rights to the journal Culturales. The authors conserve the copyright and cede the patrimonial right of the first publication to the journal Culturales, granting permission to the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California through the Instituto de Investigaciones Culturales-Museo for the publication, translation, distribution, diffusion, and communication of the material in printed and digital media. Once the article has been published, authors may include it in an institutional repository, personal web page, or disseminate it through academic networks.
