Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The article has not been previously published, nor to be published by any other journal (unless an explanation has been written in the comments to Editor).
- The article must be submitted in Microsoft Word format and is between 6 500 and 8 000 words in length. This includes tables (charts), figures (graphs, photographs, images, etc.), footnotes and bibliography (in alphabetical order).
- Any and all contributions must follow the guidelines established by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 4th edition in Spanish and 7th edition in English.
- The text of the document is justified and written in Corbel, font size 12 with double spacing. All illustrations, figures and tables have been included in the correct place and cited within the corps, not at the end of the document.
- The size of the sheet is A4 (21.59 by 27.94 cm or 8 ½” by 11”) and maintains the predefined margins by the word processor. Every page shall be numbered (bottom margin centered, with Arabic numerals) and have no annotations or designs decorating the page (heading, letterhead, etc.).
- The document contains the main title (maximum of 16 words in bold letter), followed by its translation in Spanish, English or Portuguese (as the case may be). All of this must be centered.

The abstract does not surpass 150 words in length and describes concisely the justification of the topic, its objectives, the context characteristics, the methodology and the most notable results/conclusions.
- The work complies with all requirements indicated in the Author Norms, which can be found in Editorial Guidelines

Editorial Issues is a section for the publication of research and popularization articles related to scientific publishing, academic writing and all related topics.

Copyright: In the moment that authors apply for the publishing of their articles in
Culturales, they accept the established rules and guidelines of the editorial process and automatically cede the patrimonial rights to the journal. The authors conserve copyright and cede the patrimonial right of the first publication to the journal Culturales, granting permission to the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California through the Instituto de Investigaciones Culturales-Museo for the publication, translation, distribution, dissemination, and communication of the material in printed and digital media. Once the article has been published, authors can include it in an institutional repository, personal website, or disseminate it through academic networks.
